Position: Furniture Maker / Joiner - Salvage Row Workshop
Hours: 37.5 including Saturday working
Salary: £18.5k plus benefits and access to company pension
We're looking to appoint an experienced furniture maker / joiner to our Scunthorpe workshop.
You will be passionate about designing, creating and documenting exclusive modern furniture to sell online and in our retail shop.
We're looking for someone with experience and knowledge of creating furniture products from wood and other renewable materials to tight deadlines and to fulfil customer orders.
We're also looking for someone with first class communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor volunteers within the workshop.
Above all, you will have the experience and ability to deliver high quality work in short time-scales to ensure our customers recommend our products to others.
About the Role
Reporting to the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the workshop including making standard and bespoke orders to a deadline. You will also be required to set high standards or workmanship, housekeeping and health and fire safety.
You will also be responsible for helping, motivating and training volunteers, some of who may present challenging behaviour.

As a social enterprise, our profits go back into supporting our social mission; to help vulnerable young people in Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire.
The Salvage Row store and brand are designed to both generate income for our social mission and provide opportunities for others in the community of all ages to volunteer, learn new skills and feel valued.
We buy, restore and sell retro, vintage and interesting furniture and household items. We also design and build new furniture to be sold locally and online across the UK.
