We're Hiring : Shop Manager - Scunthorpe

Position: Shop Manager - Salvage Row
Location: Scunthorpe
Hours: 37.5 including Saturday working
Salary: £18.5k plus benefits and access to company pension

We're looking to appoint an experienced shop Manager to our store in Scunthorpe city centre. 

About You

You will be passionate about retail and have experience in a retail management position. We're looking for someone with excellent knowledge and a great track record of recruiting, motivating and managing staff and volunteers. 

We're also looking for someone with high standards of customer care, experience of using social media to generate foot-fall and sales as well as stock control, EPOS and Health & Safety.

Above all you will have the experience, ability and drive to meet sales targets and help us grow the business for the good of our social mission. 

 

About the Role 

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for the day to day running of the shop including achieving sales budget. You will also be required to set high standards in customer care, merchandising and shop floor presentation and standards. 

Recruitment of volunteers is essential to Salvage Row and you will be responsible for defining and recruiting volunteer roles.

Recently 'highly commended' at the UK social enterprise awards we're a fun, passionate and creative organisation.  As a social enterprise, our profits go back into supporting our social mission; to help vulnerable young people in Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire. 

The Salvage Row store and brand are designed to both generate income for our social mission and provide opportunities for others in the community of all ages to volunteer, learn new skills and feel valued.

We buy, restore and sell retro, vintage and interesting furniture and household items. We also design and build new furniture to be sold locally and online across the UK.
