Position: Shop Assistant / Up-cycler - Salvage Row
Hours: 22 pw (Over Thursday, Friday & Saturday)
Salary: £16.5k pro rate plus benefits and access to company pension

We're looking to appoint an experienced shop assistant / up-cycler to our Scunthorpe shop.
You will be passionate about retail and up-cycling.
We're looking for someone with experience of working in a busy retail environment. You will also be experienced in up-cycling furniture to a high standard in a variety of materials to tight budgets and deadlines.
We're also looking for someone with first class communication skills and the ability to mentor and inspire volunteers.
Above all, you will have the experience and ability to deliver a great shop experience to ensure our customers recommend our products to others.
About the Role
Reporting to the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the shop is always presentable and inviting. You will also be required to set high standards or workmanship, housekeeping and health and fire safety.
You will assist in the preparations of goods for sale in the shop including cleaning, repairing and up-cycling. You will work alongside volunteers, some of who may present challenging behaviour.

As a social enterprise, our profits go back into supporting our social mission; to help vulnerable young people in Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire.
Salvage Row generates income for our social mission and provides opportunities for others in the community of all ages to volunteer, learn new skills and feel valued.
We buy, restore and sell antique, vintage, up-cycled and bespoke furniture and household items. We also design and build new furniture to be sold locally and online across the UK.
